There are two OS Bench Marks in Dummer. One located at All Saints' Church, which is 163.257m above sea level and the other inside Lynton Cottage, 165.695m above sea level and in its day the highest residential benchmark in Hampshire. OS Benchmarks ceased to be used from the 1980s. They were carved into structures across the UK to record heights for mapping purposes and depict a level line with arrow pointing upwards.

The village pond has been lovingly restored by villagers who have set up their own group known as the Mudlarks. Supported by Dummer Parish Council and donations the pond was refurbished in 2023 and now is home to a family of moorhens, numerous newts and additional pond life. Email us if you need more info.
The Wayfarers Walk is a 70-mile, long-distance walking route.
The route will take you from its dramatic start, high on the chalk downs at Inkpen to finish at Emsworth Harbour. To view more about the Dummer to Alsresford.
