One at the Queen Inn and the other at Dummer Down Farm Cricket Centre Entrance It's always useful to be aware of local services in the area and who to contact in an emergency. Dummer Village has a small run off pond. Visiting wildlife regularly fly in. The pond is managed by villagers and underwent a refurbishment in 2023.

A stamp is available in All Saints Church Dummer as well as The Queen Inn Public House. View More Dummer Circular A great walk exploring the rolling downs south of the Hampshire village of Dummer, only about 6 miles south of the centre of Basingstoke and just off J7 of the M3. This route has three easy options for a meal/ drink before or after at the three nearby pubs. Walking is good with some sections paved. View More Dummer Green Group Dummer Green Group has a passion and appreciation of wildlife within the village providing meadow management for its local wildflower meadow – it regularly organises events and activities such as pond dipping and more for all ages. View More Ordnance Survey Bench Marks There are two OS Bench Marks in Dummer. One located at All Saints' Church, which is 163.257m above sea level and the other inside Lynton Cottage, 165.695m above sea level and in its day the highest residential benchmark in Hampshire. OS Benchmarks ceased to be used from the 1980s. They were carved into structures across the UK to record heights for mapping purposes and depict a level line with arrow pointing upwards. View More Treadmill The Treadmill in Down Street was built in 1879 to supply the village with water. The building housing it, and the wheel, were restored and put into working order in 1971 and again in 1993. It is Grade 11 listed View More Village Pond The village pond has been lovingly restored by villagers who have set up their own group known as the Mudlarks. Supported by Dummer Parish Council and donations the pond was refurbished in 2023 and now is home to a family of moorhens, numerous newts and additional pond life. Email us if you need more info.
